River City Constructors led the complex “change of use” conversion of a traditional office suite into ERA Lounge, a sleek, high-end bar and restaurant. Perched directly on the Savannah River and neighboring the iconic Vic’s on the River, this project required a sophisticated fusion of modern luxury and the rugged, historic textures of Savannah’s waterfront.

The upfit involved a total gut renovation of the former office layout to accommodate a high-performance hospitality environment while navigating the strict structural requirements of a historic riverfront property.

• Change of Use Conversion: Managed the comprehensive transition from office to assembly space, including major structural, plumbing, and electrical upgrades to support a full-service bar and kitchen.
• Modern Aesthetic vs. Historic Context: Created a “modern sleek” atmosphere featuring high-end custom millwork, polished finishes, and mood-setting LED architectural lighting that complements the building’s original masonry.
• Riverfront Logistics: Expertly navigated the logistical challenges of the Savannah Riverwalk area, including restricted site access and coordination within a high-traffic historic landmark zone.
• Hospitality Infrastructure: Installed a custom-designed bar centerpiece, specialized acoustic treatments for a lounge atmosphere, and advanced climate control systems to ensure guest comfort.
• Premium Finishes: Focused on high-durability, luxury materials capable of withstanding high-volume traffic while maintaining a pristine, upscale appearance.
